Although the Commission's
proceedings involving complaints against judges will remain confidential until
filed in the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands, the Commission, to be as
transparent as allowed, will from time to time issue notices and news releases
concerning its non-confidential workings and operations for the information and
education of the public. Also, pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 209.3, the
Commission is required to prepare and file with the Supreme Court of the Virgin
Islands an annual report detailing the work of the Commission during the
preceding year. Each annual report will summarize all complaints processed
during the year and all dispositions.
The Supreme Court of the
Virgin Islands will issue written opinions in all cases of judicial discipline
or disability referred to it by the Commission. All reports, notices, news
releases and Supreme Court opinions concerning judicial discipline or
disability will be posted on this website for the benefit and information of
all judges and the public.
